Diversity Hiring Coalition

The Diversity Hiring Coalition of Maine

The Diversity Hiring Coalition (DHC) has rapidly become the leading networking source for employers seeking to hire diverse candidates and for people of diverse backgrounds seeking employment in Maine. Created to provide leadership and resources that help Maine employers increase, support, and retain racial and ethnic diversity in the workplace, the DHC provides win/win opportunities for employers seeking a qualified, diverse workforce and people from diverse racial and ethnic groups who want to live, work, and raise families in Maine.
The Diversity Hiring Coalition is an affiliate of the SHRM Maine State Council, which serves and advances the human resource profession throughout the state. The Diversity Hiring Coalition is an endorsing sponsor of the Maine HR convention.

Networking Event for Professional New Mainers

The DHC is proud to be hosting a Networking Event for Professional New Mainers on November 13, 2014, from 8:00am – Noon at the Portland Public Library.  This will be an opportunity for New Mainers with Professional work experience/Credentials from their home countries to interact with DHC members – representatives of the region’s top employers – and further hone their networking and professional job-seeking skills. This is a wonderful opportunity for employers to showcase their own companies, meet with talented foreign-born job seekers one-on-one, and participate in workshops geared towards resume critique, interviewing skills, and more.  This is NOT a job fair – this is an informational networking opportunity.

Please email Carolyn Hart at if your company is interested in participating!
